Links to conservation resourcesSouth AustraliaLandcareLandcare is the greatest grassroots led movement in the world. It involves ordinary South Australians who are caring for our environment now, and for future generations. Landcare began as a formal movement in South Australia in 1990 as part of the Decade of Landcare and has developed to involve approximately 300 landcare groups in South Australia. BushcareBushcare funded activities to protect, enhance and increase the vegetation in the Australian landscape. A priority was to support community involvement in the management, protection and rehabilitation of Australia's native vegetation. Trees for LifeSouth Australia has been left with the legacy of excessive land clearing. The long term effects of this include loss of biodiversity, plant and animal extinction, soil erosion, increased salinity and weed invasion. Trees For Life takes the necessary action and makes an impact. WatercareWaterCare is a whole of government initiative that raises awareness of water issues and promotes sustainable use and management of South Australia’s water resources.
