South Australian Museum

The South Australian Museum offers visitors six floors of exhibits that reveal many fascinating stories. Exhibitions and displays reflect the museum’s extensive Australian Aboriginal and Pacific collections and the Ancient Egyptian room has been a favourite destination for generations of museum visitors.

History Trust of South Australia

The History Trust of South Australia is a statutory authority reporting to Parliament through the Minister for the Arts. It was established in 1981 under the History Trust of South Australia Act (1981,1995) to encourage the research and public presentation of South Australian history and to safeguard South Australia’s material heritage. The History Trust’s Board of eight trustees reports to the Minister for the Arts.

Australian War Memorial

During the First World War, Australian troops were officially encouraged to collect relics of the battles in which they had fought. That tradition of acquisition and preservation continues today, enhancing the written record of war, and has produced one of the finest military artefact, document and media collections in the world. This web site makes some of those collections accessible on-line to everyone for the first time.
